TRUETAPE: how to tape your outer knee

What you need

2 TRUETAPE strips
1 pair of scissors

Wearing time

3-4 days

Taping Tips

Apply tape 1 hour before starting an activity

Thoroughly remove dirt, moisture, oils and lotions from the skin before taping

Do not wear the tape for longer than 7 days

To activate the adhesive, carefully rub the tape several times after applying

In areas that are particularly hairy, trim the hair to ensure the tape sticks better

Remove paper backing before application and always make sure the ends of the tape are applied WITHOUT stretch

Application outer knee - Starting position
STARTING POSITION

Bend your knee at around 90° and locate your point of pain.

1. STRIP

Application outer knee - Step 1
75% STRETCH

Cut the first strip in half and apply the tape with 75% stretch right over your point of pain in extension to your upper leg.

Application outer knee - Step 2
0% STRETCH

Apply the ends without any stretch.

2. STRIP

Application outer knee - Step 3
75% STRETCH

Apply the second half strip with 75% stretch and perpendicular to the first one and in line with your lower leg.

Application outer knee - Step 4
0% STRETCH

Apply the ends without any stretch.

3. STRIP

Application outer knee - Step 5
0% STRETCH

Apply the anchor without stretch just underneath the two applied strips.

Application outer knee - Step 6
25% STRETCH

Apply with 25% stretch and curve slightly over your point of pain towards your hip.

Application outer knee - Step 7
0% STRETCH

Finish the tape without stretch.

DONE!

Make sure to give the whole application another good rub to activate the adhesive. Congrats, that's it.
