The Crosstape instruction video

Here you will find everything you need to know to apply your crosstapes correctly:

  • IMPORTANT TAPING TIPS
  • SIZE SELECTION & HANDLING OF THE TAPES
  • APPLICATION ON PAIN / TRIGGER POINTS AND SCARS

1. Select the appropriate tape size

All crosstapes can be used universally on the whole body. However, some tape sizes are more suitable for certain parts of the body than others:

Size S:

Perfect for use on children or on the head, neck, hands and feet of adults.

Size M:

Optimal for use on larger muscle groups and medium-sized joints, e.g. on the arms, neck, wrist or elbow.

Size L:

For use on very large muscle groups or large joints e.g. the back, thigh, knee or ankle.

2. Apply Crosstapes correctly

For optimal wearing comfort and best durability of the lattice plasters, the correct alignment of the tapes to the skin lines is important. Therefore, stick them on so that one "tip" always points towards the head. For correct orientation, always imagine you are standing and let your arms hang loosely.

3. STEP-BY-STEP Instructions

Application on pain and trigger points

1.

Locate your pain point by palpating it with your hand or moving the affected joints and muscles.

2.

Select the optimal tape size for the body region to be taped.

3.

Carefully detach the Crosstape from the paper without touching much tape.

4.

Always apply the tape to stretched skin or with the joint bent. This provides the best wearing comfort and the longest durability.Always apply the tape to stretched skin or with the joint bent. This provides the best wearing comfort and the longest durability.

5.

Please always glue on the Crosstape with the tip pointing towards the head. See also the detailed explanation above.

6.

After gluing, rub the Crosstape with your finger from the inside to the outside as wrinkle-free as possible.

Application on scars

In order to apply TRUETAPE® Crosstape to scars, it is important that the wound is clean and already closed, and that the stitches have been removed after surgery. This is how you proceed:

1.

Bring the skin into a slight stretch before taping e.g. by carefully bending the knee.

2.

For scars of 10-12cm always choose size S. For scars over 12cm, size M is also useful.

3.

Apply the crosstapes diagonally above the scar. One lower and one upper corner of the tape are thus in line with the scar.

4.

For larger scars, simply line up several tapes slightly overlapping until the scar is completely covered.

5.

Carefully rub all tapes again from the inside to the outside after sticking them on.

6.

If the tapes do not come off by themselves, please remove them carefully after 4 days, at a flat angle and in the direction of the hair growth, and stick on new ones.
