TRUETAPE: how to tape your knee

DIRECTLY TO INSTRUCTIONS

What you need

3 TRUETAPE strips
1 pair of scissors

Wearing time

4-5 days

Taping tips

Apply tape 1 hour before starting an activity

Thoroughly remove dirt, moisture, oils and lotions from the skin before taping

Do not wear the tape for longer than 7 days

To activate the adhesive, carefully rub the tape several times after applying

In areas that are particularly hairy, trim the hair to ensure the tape sticks better

Remove paper backing before application and always make sure the ends of the tape are applied WITHOUT stretch

Application full knee - Starting position
STARTING POSITION

Bend your knee at a 90° angle during this application.

1. STRIP

Application full knee - Step 1
75% STRETCH

Cut one strip in half and apply the tape with 75% stretch right below the kneecap, across your patella tendon.

Application full knee - Step 2
0% STRETCH

Apply both ends of the tape without stretch.

2. STRIP

Application full knee - Step 3
0% STRETCH

Apply the anchor to your quad about 15-20 cm above the kneecap without any stretch.

Application full knee - Step 4
25% STRETCH

Apply with 25% stretch across your quad just until the top of your knee cap.

Application full knee - Step 5
50% STRETCH

From here, increase to 50% stretch and curve the tape around the knee cap towards the inside of your knee.

Application full knee - Step 6
0% STRETCH

Apply the last part of the tape without stretch.

3. STRIP

Application full knee - Step 7
0% STRETCH

Apply the anchor on the inside of your quad, at the same height of the first strip, without stretch.

Application full knee - Step 8
25% STRETCH

Again, tape with 25% stretch across your quad, just until the top of your knee cap.

Application full knee - Step 9
0% STRETCH

From here, increase to 50% stretch and curve the tape around the knee cap towards the outside of your knee.

Application full knee - Step 10
0% STRETCH

Apply the last part of the tape without stretch.

Application full knee - Step 11
DONE!

Make sure to give the whole application another good rub to activate the adhesive. Congrats, that's it.
